Friday Night Action

Joining CCFC Director Melvin Patrick and NM Ian Harris this week were David Childs and Michael Morin. Morin had taken a brief hiatus from chess and so everyone was curious to see how he would perform. After struggling in the first two rounds, Morin found his form when it came time face Harris. Harris blundered a piece after calculating a long attacking sequence, but missing a brilliant resource by Morin at the end. This handed Morin an extra piece in the middlegame. Harris fought with great determination to get whatever counterplay he could, however, Morin was able to hold on to his extra piece and eventually won the game!
