2015 Club Championship

Despite a simultaneous snow storm, the 2015 CCFC Club Championships went off without a hitch. Attendance grew from last year, and with nine masters and a bevy of experts the competition was fierce. There U1800 section was also super competitive with no clear favorite going into the event.
The upsets began as early as round one with tournament favorites in both sections getting nicked for draws. The upsets continued with every round.
Only one player, FM Leif Pressman, remained with a perfect 4/4 score by the end of the tournament and thus he was crowned our new club champion! Liam Kaufman defeated tournament leader Guy Colas in the final round to leap frog into first place in the U1800 section! Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you to everyone that made it out to the tournament!
