In a very tough first quad, NM Yoony Kim scored an impressive 2.5/3 to win the section by a full point! Ramesh Abhiraman had the upset of the tournament, drawing expert Daniel Cooper in their final round encounter. This was not enough to slow Cooper down however, and he won the section by a slim 2.5/3. Finally, in quad three it was Nielsen Gordon who edged out the field with 2.5/3 followed closely by Shailen Smith with 2/3.
